It is so hard to believe that Ava will be turning one is just over 2 weeks! She has definitley started to turn in to a "big girl" rather than our little baby girl. She is getting so much more independent. She loves getting into things and exploring the house. I can't even blink my eyes with out her being in a different place than before or into something else. It is fun watching her find things and try to figure them out.

Ava and Duke looking out the window to see who just pulled up to the house. :)

Ava is far from being ready to get potty trained but Daddy really wanted to get her a potty. Later that evening while I was downstairs cooking dinner I heard Cody yelling "hurry come look what Ava did!!!" So I went upstairs and there was Ava with her diaper off standing next to her new potty. I looked inside and there it was pee!!!l lol It crossed my mind that maybe Cody just put water in there and that there was no way she had tinkled in her potty. But she did! Cody said as soon as he sat her on the potty seat she went, must have just been perfect timing.. She is only 11 1/2 months old.

Ava being "independent" wanting to feed herself. She grabbed the bowl right off the tray and dumped it all over her head. lol I had to take a picture. I dont think she ended up getting any if the spaghetti in her mouth lol

Ava and mommy enjoying the nice warm weather in phx....finally. I went down to the valley to help out my friend (who just had a baby girl) with house stuff and watch her 2 year old son. Ava and Braeden became best friends during our 11 day stay. I had alot of fun too! It was nice to thaw out, the winter weather took it's toll on me... Cody just happened not to have any work that week due to the snow, so he was able to be there with me majority of the time. I was happy because I would not have been abl to stay away from him that long.
So we are back at home now. (back to the cold) Hopefully it will start warming up soon though. Everything is going pretty good here. Ava is just getting better. Friday night she started running a high fever 104.2. I panicked, she had never ran a fever over 102.5 before. I called the on call nurse and she they dont worry until it is over 105-106 for over 45 mins. So we gave her motrin and the fever went way fairly quickly. But in the middle of the night I checked on her and she felt extremely hot. I took her temperature it was 105.7. Her motrin was due so I gave her more and once again her fever went away. We took her to the doctor first thing in the morning. They said she had a mild ear infection in both ears and prescribed her antibiotics. After two days no more fever and she is feeling good.:)
